Rahat is world renowned Pakistani singer. He is a close relative of late Pakistani classical singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He faced difficulties in the beginning of his career but overcame them by persistence. He kept on working hard. He had a break through in his career when he was invited to give music for an Indian movie. Seeing surge in his popularity he got many offers to perform. He increased his fee for performing in a function to 1.2 million rupees. Besides singing he is also a partner of Yousuf Salahuddin in a business.
